Upright

The Emperor is order made visible: a throne, a boundary, someone who decides where things belong. In this deck the throne is the middle of the sofa, or the top platform of a tower, and it is held without argument because no argument is ever offered. It looks like stubbornness and it is really structure. One fixed point, and the whole household arranges itself around it, including the people who bought the sofa.

Reversed

Reversed, the throne moves inside. The same certainty is there, it has simply stopped needing an audience: a spot chosen quietly, an edge kept without the grand posture, no announcement made. Nothing has slipped. Your pet is holding their own order privately today, and the house is no less theirs for having been claimed in a whisper.

Reversed is not bad news here. It is the same energy turned inward instead of outward.

In the dog deck

This is their kingdom and they know it. The center of the couch belongs to them, and the rules of the house are theirs to set.

Try today Surrender the best seat today and capture their regal expression.

In the cat deck

The Cat Tower Throne

Climbing to the top of the cat tower means that spot belongs to no one else, no questions asked. Today your cat rules from the highest point in the house, setting the terms with a steady, unblinking gaze.

Try today Freshen up the perch at the top of the tower and snap a photo of them holding court.

This is tarot for fun. We rewrote the Major Arcana for dog life; it predicts and advises nothing. Nothing here relates to health or behaviour decisions.
