Upright

The Sun is the arcana of plain daylight: gladness with nothing complicated in it, everything visible exactly as it is. The scene needs no translation. A belly turned up in a gold stripe on the floor, or a window seat from which the whole street can be reviewed. The stripe travels across the room all afternoon, and so, patiently, does the animal. Nothing else on the schedule survives it.

Reversed

Reversed, the brightness stays in. The gladness is there and keeps to itself: no rolling about, no performance, only an animal warm and satisfied in a spot they picked without consulting anyone. Happiness does not always announce itself. Today it lives on the inside, and lying down in the same patch of light says more than any fuss.

Reversed is not bad news here. It is the same energy turned inward instead of outward.

In the dog deck

Nothing complicated today—just warmth and light and the perfect place to curl up. Happiness is that beam of gold on the floor.

Try today Find the sunniest spot and settle in beside them without rushing anywhere.

In the cat deck

Sunlit Watch

Perched in a sunny window, the cat watches the world outside with perfect clarity. Warmth fills its heart, and confidence shines in its eyes.

Try today Settle by a sunny window and watch the world together for a few minutes.

In the human deck

Light at the Crossing

Sunlight straight in the face at a crossing, with no particular reason to hurry. Nothing needs decoding today — the warmth simply happens to be on the side of the street where you are standing. Eyes closed until the signal changes, and the person beside you is doing the same.

Try today Stand in the warmest patch of light you can find and stay in it for a minute.

This is tarot for fun. We rewrote the Major Arcana for life with a dog, life with a cat, and a human day; it predicts and advises nothing. Nothing here relates to health or behaviour decisions.
