The Fourteen Faces for People

The Chatterbox

A face that always looks one second from speaking

The mouth corners stay up and the eyes stay open, wide where this set usually narrows. The outer corners lift and the jaw tapers, so the face reads as mid-sentence with the mouth shut. In meetings people pause and look over for a point that never came.

What this face looks like

The corners of a wide mouth are drawn up, and the eyes stay open rather than narrowing. The outer corners lift, the jaw tapers, and nothing in the arrangement suggests the face has finished. Group photographs are nearly all taken mid-word, and the ones that are not look like the shutter went early.

Living with this face

Conversations leave a gap here that this face never asked for. Waiters come back to the table a second time, in case something else was needed. On video calls it is unmuted first and last, and the recording shows the mouth already moving before the host finishes the introduction. Half the time nothing follows.

This is a reading for fun. The types are our own invention and claim no scientific basis. We judge nothing about age, gender or appearance — only the geometry of a face, such as the angle of the eye corners and the line of the jaw. The photo is not uploaded; it is read inside this browser only. Where we quote physiognomy we are passing on a tradition, not a science — people do largely agree on the impression a face gives, but that agreement does not make the impression true of the person.
